FIBROMYALGIA

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition that causes widespread pain and tenderness in the muscles, joints, and other soft tissues of the body. It is also associated with fatigue, sleep disturbances, and cognitive problems such as difficulty concentrating or remembering things.

The exact cause of fibromyalgia is not known, but it is believed to be related to changes in how the brain and nervous system process pain signals.

Manual therapy have a positive impact on fibromyalgia by reducing pain, improving mobility, promoting relaxation, and increasing circulation. Different techniques target specific trigger points and areas in the body, reducing muscle tension and soreness, improving overall comfort and well-being. Additionally, it improves range of motion in the joints, making it easier to perform daily activities. Manual therapy also promotes the release of endorphins, natural pain-relieving chemicals in the body, which can reduce stress and promote a sense of well-being.

HIP/KNEE REPLACEMENT

Manual therapy can be particularly helpful in the early stages of recovery after hip/knee replacement surgery, when patients may experience pain and stiffness in the joint's area. It is also recommended as an effective way to prepare for hip or knee surgery, offering a range of benefits that help improve outcome and speed up recovery process. This includes reducing pain and improving joint mobility, allowing for easier movement and faster healing. It also reduces swelling and improves overall well-being, supporting body's natural healing processes.

Manual therapy is typically used in combination with other treatments, such as exercise and medication, to help patients recover from hip/knee replacement surgery. It is important to work with a trained healthcare professional who has experience in this kind of therapy to ensure that the treatment is safe and effective.

SCIATICA SYNDROME

Sciatica syndrome is a condition that affects the sciatic nerve, causing pain, numbness, and tingling in the lower back, hips, legs, and feet. Manual therapy can be an effective treatment for individuals suffering from sciatica syndrome, offering a range of benefits that can improve their overall well-being. It improves mobility and flexibility, reduce muscle tension and inflammation, and promote relaxation and improved sleep. Techniques such as nerve glide, muscle energy technique, soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy can all be utilized to help promote healing and relieve symptoms.

Manual therapy particularly helps to improve circulation in the affected areas, which then help to reduce pain. With targeting inflammation and reducing it manual therapy eases discomfort and promotes healing.

FROZEN SHOULDER

Frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis, is a condition in which the shoulder joint becomes stiff and painful, making it difficult to move the arm. It occurs when the capsule of connective tissue that surrounds the shoulder joint becomes thickened and tight, restricting movement and causing pain.

The symptoms of frozen shoulder typically progress through stages:

In the initial stage, which can last for several weeks to several months the shoulder becomes increasingly stiff and painful, and it may be difficult to move the arm.

After some time the pain may begin to subside, but the shoulder remains stiff and movement is still limited.  In the final stage, the shoulder gradually begins to regain mobility while pain and stiffness begin to improve. Manual therapy is a useful treatment option for people with frozen shoulder, as it helps improve mobility, reduces pain and stiffness, and promotes healing.
